Erick Pabellón was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He attended the Universidad de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, receiving his bachelor's degree in Art Education. Using different mediums such as prints, acrylic, lithography, drawing and mostly oil paintings, the artist has had different exhibitions in Puerto Rico, Philadelphia and other countries, including Pairs in 2008.
After working as an art teacher in Puerto Rico for two years, Pabellón decided to move to Paris, France (Montmartre) in 2007 to concentrate on his personal artwork for a year. He took the time to work as a full-time artist, taking different workshops, doing exhibitions and selling his art. By this time, gaining quite the experience, Pabellón started to work with known artists in the area, learning different techniques and creating a new colorful and playful series of paintings.
He began to create his personal and unique style to a different stage. In 2008, Pabellón received his first group exhibition in Paris, presenting what was the beginning of his latest series of musicians in oil and acrylic paintings called: "Paris et la Musique de la Calle."
In the fall of 2008, Pabellón moved to the U.S. to work as a Spanish teacher in Philadelphia, Pa. He continued to work with local exhibitions in Mt. Airy, Pa. Pabellón is currently working as a professor in New Jersey and also writes articles for an art magazine in Puerto Rico, Art Updated. Pabellón still works on his paintings since that is his biggest passion. He is currently working with photography and video projects based on everyday real life situations, an idea he conceived in Paris.
